Getting started with the Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) Connector

Written by Kyle Conarro

What is the Campaign Manager 360 Connector?

The Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) Connector lets you automatically sync ad data from CM360. Once connected, you no longer need to manually import data from CM360. Instead, the connector will automatically pull in data on a daily basis, saving you and your team even more time.

How do I set up the CM360 Connector?

Ensure a user profile exists with API permissions

> Ensure a user profile with appropriate permissions has been created for your Google Account(s). If not, contact our sales team for more information.

Required CM360 Data Permissions

The Google Account used to connect must have a CM360 user role with the following permissions enabled:

  • View campaigns

  • View placements

  • View ads

  • View creatives

  • View advertisers

  • Generate placement tags

The built-in Agency Trafficker or Agency Admin roles include all of these. If your organization uses custom roles, ensure the above permissions are enabled.

You can check your user role in CM360 under Admin → User Profiles.

Using the Ad Reform integration account

If managing permissions on your own Google Account is difficult, you can instead add our shared integration account as a user in your CM360 account:

  1. In CM360, go to Admin → User Profiles

  2. Assign the Agency Trafficker role (or a custom role with the permissions listed above)

  3. Let us know once added — we’ll authorize the connector using this account

This is a common setup that avoids permission issues tied to individual team members’ accounts.

Integrate CM360 and Ad Reform

To set up the CM360 Connector, follow these steps:

  • Click Connect your Google Account

  • Authenticate with the Google Account associated with your CM360 account

Common problems

"Access blocked: Your institution's admin needs to review Ad Reform" / "This app is blocked"

Depending on your Google Workspace settings, a Google Workspace admin may need to allow our app before you can connect CM360 within Ad Reform.

If you're seeing the above message, ask an admin to mark our app as Trusted in the Google Admin console. Here's how:

  1. Go to Security › Access and data control › API controls › Manage App Access in your Google Admin console, or open https://admin.google.com/ac/owl/list?tab=configuredApps

  2. In the Configured apps section, click Configure new app

  3. Paste our client ID into the search box and click Search

  4. Click the Ad Reform (Web) result

  5. Under Scope, choose who can use the app (all users, or specific org units), then click Continue

  6. Under Access to Google Data, select Trusted, then click Continue

  7. Check the summary and click Finish

Google says changes usually apply within minutes but can take up to 24 hours.

Once our app is trusted, follow the steps above to connect CM360 within Ad Reform.
